Our Own Private Cathedral – Foto Friday

The most beautiful cathedral in the world? Cathedral Peak - Yosemite
The most beautiful cathedral in the world? Cathedral Peak - Yosemite

We can gush about Cathedral Peak until your ears start bleeding: the beautiful white granite, the clean cracks on the granite, the most memorable climbing we’ve ever done…

But we won’t. So we’ll just say this…

We love the Sierras so much, but Cathedral Peak and its surrounding area is by far our favorite. The fact that it requires some off-trail hiking to get there makes the spot devoid of crowds. Even on weekends.

We’d like to think of it as our own private cathedral.

Tell us, what’s your favorite cathedral you’ve ever visited? And if you have pictures, share them on our FB page

    1. That is so true. I think we spend many, many summers in the Sierra and still haven't seen everything that it has to offer.

    1. Hah, for sure. Jack insists on taking our climbing gear on our trip so if we manage to somehow meet up in SA, we'll take you guys climbing!

  1. Wow, very cool! We drove through Yosemite a few years ago, but were short on time so we weren't able to hike. We seriously need to go back and rectify that… I'd love to hike to the Cathedral Peak to just sit and *be*.
