The blog was born in the early planning stage of the trip. Waaaaay early.
Early as in when I called a travel agent to help me plan an itinerary, he told me to call him back in 6 months.
Even though that meant I didn’t have many interesting things to write about, I found simply writing about the planning therapeutic; a virtual escape from the corporate world while waiting for the real one. And besides, it forces me to continue on doing research even when I don’t feel like it,
“But Jill, your (two) readers will be devastated if you don’t come up with any new posts fast enough.”
Know what I mean?
Why the blog again?
- Because I found so many travelogues inspiring. And I hope to inspire. And to share… and to keep our families abreast of news and that, “Yes, we’re still alive. Sorry we forgot to call.”
- Because we forget things.
- Because everyone cool seems to have a blog nowadays and we want to be cool too.
What’s in it?
Err… all sorts of things. Musings, tips, random articles. Some of them more useful than others but all were written with love and care. Why don’t you check it out?
What theme are you using?
The theme is based on one of the free ones (Mainstream) provided by the nice folks over at Woo Theme and hosted by Web Faction.
It’s Jill’s very first time dabbling with the fascinating world of wordpress, so the design will probably change over time as she (slowly) learns new tricks. The header and the logo were all designed by Jill too.
